With close to 25% of Texas households deemed underbanked, it’s time to reconsider your current banking situation. Perhaps you’ve recently been denied for a checking account because of your past history that’s been recorded in ChexSystems. Alternatively, maybe you just assume that since you’ve had issues with non-sufficient funds or unpaid overdraft fees, you won’t be able to open another checking account anytime soon.
Both of these scenarios are myths. There plenty of banks and credit unions throughout the state of Texas that either doesn’t run a ChexSystems report or are still willing to approve you if you meet other qualifications.
